UKG Security Updates Big news! UKG Ready® is implementing a set of new security measures this year to keep your organization safe and protected 24/7.

 

Security updates include the introduction of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and updates to password policies. You can expect these updates to be enabled on August 24, 2023.

 

1.  Multifactor Authentication:  MFA is a multi-step account log in process that requires a user to enter more information than just a password.  Along wiith a password, users will be asked to use on of the following:

 

     Voice

     Authenticator app

 

**If you select the authenticator app option, you will need to download an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, to your mobile device. These apps are available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.**

 

Passwords: In addition to MFA, longer, more complex passwords will also be required for all employees logging in. When you log in on August 24, 2023, if your password does not meet the requirements, you will have to update it. The new requirements are:

 

     At least 15 characters

     One uppercase letter

     One lowercase letter

     One numeral

     One special character

Note: If you are a client who went live with us on or after January 1, 2023, many of these security enhancements are already in effect. Any security updates mentioned above that are not already in effect for your organization will be on August 24, 2023.
